Vindale Research Scam? Let’s Look at The Facts

Here at Survey Surveillance, we’ve received a lot of emails over the past few weeks asking whether or not Vindale Research is a scam, so we decided to look through it ourselves and see if this particular paid survey site is safe for people to sign up for.

First and foremost, let’s look at what exactly Vindale Research is. This service is a 100% free-to-sign-up membership site that allows users to fill out profile information (without providing highly personal information) and begin taking surveys.

In fact, Vindale Research even boasts a $2 sign up bonus. Not only that, unlike many other paid survey sites out there that go off a points-and-reward system, which basically entails members receiving points for successfully completing surveys, and then redeeming those points for cash and prizes (such as gift cards or airline miles) Vindale Research doesn’t do any of this.

Instead, Vindale only provides cash. They don’t work off a points system or offer any prizes such as e-vouchers – they only send their members straight up cash money in the bank.

It Sounds Like a Scam, But is it?

There are two primary concerns people have when they contact us about Vindale Research.

  1. Are they going to sell my personal information?
  2. It sounds too good to be true – why would a website pay me literal cash just for taking stupid surveys?

First of all, Vindale Research – as far as we can tell – do not have any kind of reputation or reports of selling or distributing people’s private information.

Secondly, the reason Vindale Research is able to pay its members cash is because your opinion – along with other consumers’ opinions – are incredibly valuable to any business-to-customer company out there, as well as large marketing agencies who take those customers on as clients.

There is a constant need for these companies to research their target demographic and gain as much information as possible before rolling out new products and services for example, or before creating new marketing campaigns.

The more information they can gather directly from consumers, the better, more informed decisions they can make.

In order to get consumers to volunteer this information, they offer incentives. This is because barely anybody is going to spend their evening filling out questionnaires simply because they feel good about providing their opinion to big companies.

So, groups like Vindale Research offer cash in exchange for your time and opinions.

Is Vindale Research Worth Signing up For?

All in all, Vindale Research is an excellent paid survey site, it’s not a scam, and it only offers cash, which is a nice change. However, it is far from the only option (or the best).

If you really want to make serious supplemental income with online surveys, you need to choose only the survey sites that provide the best pay for the most consistent amount of surveys being delivered.

The best way to do that is to compare the most reputable paid survey sites with each other and sign up for the winners.
